Herbert Johnson

Ref: Herbert Johnson

Manufacturer: Herbert Johnson

A lovely vintage motor racing helmet by Herbert Johnson. Founded in 1889, Herbert Johnson's reputation was founded on a chance meeting with Prince Charles, who later went on to become King Edward VII. The Prince's helmet was blown off and damaged whilst riding in the park one day and the young Johnson picked up the topper and offered to repair it. With the repair complete, the Prince was particularly impressed and suggested that Johnson set himself up in business. This he duly did and became synonymous with quality. This example, in light grey, comes complete with vintage goggles.
