Featuring the distinctive winged 'M', representing the motorcycle constructor, Matchless, this beautiful example is in excellent period condition considering its age. The first Matchless was built at Plumstead, London in 1899 and manufacture began in 1901, culminating in the first single cylinder victory in the inaugural Isle of Man TT in 1907. In 1931 Matchless purchased AJS, which was later amalgamted as AMC (Associated Motor Cycles) in 1938.
