An important example of a Herbert Johnson helmet, complete with rain visor. This particular helmet was used by former British hillclimber and lightweight E-type racer, Phil Scragg. Scragg tragically died at the wheel of his V12 Jaguar in 1974 at Silverstone, bizzarely followed only a few hours later by the death of his twenty year old son in a road traffic accident. The helmet is in fine condition and comes with excellent provenance.
