Motorcycle World Champion in both the 500cc and 350cc classes for MV Agusta, Surtees uniquely claimed the Formula One World Championship for another distinctive Italian marque, Ferrari. He's seen here in the early fifties on board his Vincent and captured by the excellent photography of Tom March.
