Swiss specialist Scheidegger won the 1965 and 1966 Sidecar World Championship with his passender John Robinson. In 1966 he also won the Isle of Man TT, but not before being disqualified for an alleged fuel irregularity. He appealed to the FIM twice and was eventually declared the winner.
